Use your leftover cranberries for this tart, yet sweet smoothie. A simple and quick way to fuel up.
Maybe you have some cranberries leftover from the holidays, or if you’re like me you’ve stocked up on bags of the tart berries to stash in your freezer to enjoy a little longer. Since these antioxidant packed berries are only available late fall through early winter, I like to buy extras to keep frozen for when I’m wanting to add a little extra something to oatmeal, baked goods, or to make a smoothie.

For this smoothie, you use all frozen fruit to add that nice texture plus water and a little honey to taste. The strawberries and banana add sweetness to balance out the tartness from the cranberries for a perfectly refreshing smoothie. I know after the holidays, I just want simple and easy foods that don’t take a lot of effort (because I cook and bake a ton during when I’m home for the holidays!) and this smoothie is literally done in 5 minutes.
Personally, I like this type of a smoothie as more of a snack just because there’s not a ton of protein or fat in it. I find that when I’m craving a smoothie as more of a meal it needs to have greek yogurt or milk and some nut butter to make it a little more substantial.
